HOW DO I SCHEDULE?New patients can request an appointment by calling the office at 509-520-7993 or by filling out the form above. Any requests for new patient appointments will be returned during business hours within 24-48 hours of your enquiry.
-
WHAT DOES MY FIRST APPOINTMENT LOOK LIKE?We set aside 90 minutes for your first appointment in our office. This allows us to set aside time that is devoted to listening to your healthcare concerns, reviewing your health history, and answering any questions you may have in addition to your initial treatment. If needed, new patient consultations can be done via telehealth and we will do our best to coordinate your treatment time for either the same day or the next day. That way when you come in for your treatment we are ready with a plan and the whole hour can be devoted to your care.
-
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?It’s best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to the arms up to the elbows and access to the legs up to the knees. However, we have gowns and drapes available if any clothing needs to be removed for access to areas such as the back, hips, or upper legs.
-
DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?Currently, masks are no longer required in healthcare in Washington state. Masks are optional in our office and we respect everyone’s decision when it comes to their healthcare choices. If you would like your acupuncturist to wear a mask we are happy to accommodate your request.
-
DOES IT HURT?It shouldn’t! Sometimes there may be a quick moment of discomfort if there is inflammation in the area, but it usually goes away pretty quickly. Most people will feel a sense of heaviness or pressure or even a dull ache where the needles have been placed. All these feelings are great because it means we’re starting to move stagnation in the body! If at any point anything feels uncomfortable or you feel a persistent sharp pain, please tell your acupuncturist so adjustments can be made to help you feel more comfortable in order for you to relax. Most people find acupuncture to be a relaxing experience. It’s not uncommon for people to fall asleep or go into a deep relaxation during their treatment.
-
DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?We currently accept the following insurances: Aetna Coordinated Care EIP Kaiser Premera Triwest/VA Regence Yellowhawk We can verify your acupuncture benefits for you, so you know exactly how much you’ll need to pay prior to your first appointment. Just call or email the front desk with your insurance information and we’ll get back to you with your coverage details. If your insurance is not listed above, we can check your out of network benefits to see if there is some coverage for your treatments.
